I found this animation really refreshing in its mixed media combination of styles. It was very much a labour of love by Nina Paley who wrote/animated/produced the film. It is however a cautionary copyright story as the blues songs weren’t licensed to be used correctly and thus was a very emotionally cathartic but costly endeavour for the creator .
